LeadJourney doesn’t just track paid ad campaigns — it also automatically detects organic traffic, referral sources, and direct visitors without requiring any manual setup.

These channels are tracked and displayed by default in your dashboard, so you always have a full picture of how leads are entering your funnel — not just the ones from paid ads.

✅ No Setup Required

Unlike paid traffic channels (like Meta or Google Ads), you don’t need to connect anything or modify your URLs to track organic, referral, or direct traffic.

As long as the LeadJourney Tracking Script is installed on your website, these sources will be automatically captured and classified correctly.

🧠 How It Works

LeadJourney’s tracking script automatically detects the origin of each visitor based on:

  • Referrer headers from the user’s browser

  • Search engine patterns (e.g. Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo)

  • Absence of a referrer, indicating direct traffic

Each visit is then categorized into a traffic channel.

🔍 Tracked Channels Include:

Channel

Description

Organic Search

Visitors who find your site via unpaid search engine results (Google, Bing, etc.)

Referral

Visitors coming from links on other websites (blogs, partner pages, etc.)

Direct

Visitors who type in your URL directly or come from bookmarks/emails without referrer

You’ll also see Facebook Organic or other social platforms under Organic if users arrive through unpaid links.

📊 Where to View This Data

Go to:

Dashboard → Traffic Channels

Here you’ll see a breakdown of all your traffic — including:

  • Lead count by channel

  • Conversion performance

  • Tracking quality per source

Organic, referral, and direct traffic are automatically shown alongside your paid traffic channels.

⚠️ Important Note

While these channels are tracked automatically, accurate classification depends on the visitor’s browser and session. Some privacy tools (e.g., iOS or private browsers) may restrict referrer data — but LeadJourney still handles these cases gracefully whenever possible.

🧠 Summary

✅ No setup needed
✅ LeadJourney automatically tracks organic, referral, and direct traffic
✅ Data is displayed in the Traffic Channel dashboard
✅ Works out of the box with the tracking script installed

This gives you full-funnel transparency across all traffic sources — not just paid ads.
